Raymond James Predicts Over 100% Rally for These 3 Stocks

After a volatile September, the roller coaster hasn’t ended in October. We had a pleasant surprise for investors, when S&P 500 climbed back above 3,400 to start the month. However, markets didn’t like President Trump’s COVID diagnosis, and the resulting drop. The President is out of the hospital, but now the White House and Congressional Democrats are unable to reach agreement on an economic stimulus package. The combination of good news and bad news makes the markets an intriguing mix of risk and reward. Weighing in on current market conditions, Raymond James strategist Tavis C. McCourt noted: “Although there is a lot of noise in the market, fiscal relief likely trumps other variables as a $1.5+ trillion fiscal relief package would likely secure an improving earnings trend through next summer (vaccine), would limit the need for increased state/local taxes,

Gut Microbiome Plays a Role in How Prostate Cancer Patients Respond to Oral Therapies

Gut Microbiome Plays a Role in How Prostate Cancer Patients Respond to Oral Therapies

Bacteria in the gut may play a role in the treatment outcomes of patients with prostate cancer taking oral medications, according to a study published in Nature Communications.

The results from the study showed that since the drug abiraterone acetate is metabolized by bacteria in the gut that help to both reduce harmful organisms and promote helpful ones, the authors suspect that the microbiome influences patients’ responses to medications.

“Research is beginning to uncover the ways in which the human microbiome influences cancer development, progression, and treatment,” said Brendan Daisley, a PhD candidate at Western’s Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry who is conducting research at Lawson, in a press release. “Our study highlights a key interaction between a cancer drug and the gut microbiome that results in beneficial organisms with anti-cancer properties.”

Jacqueline Wilson: ‘Children’s literature has the power to create social change’

It’s not the easiest job in the world, interviewing a recluse author in the midst of the pandemic, who lives in an area you’d “have to dig a trench for hundreds of yards” to hook up to wifi (rural Sussex).

Despite the recent release of her latest novel, Jacqueline Wilson has just been on holiday, and insists any self-PR must fit around the post-holiday, pre-lockdown rush of optician and dentist appointments. I interview her remotely, in the spaces between.

She’s no diva, though. Jacqueline’s simple life hasn’t really felt the tremors of lockdown: “I read, I write, I daydream, I walk the dog, I watch a box set in the evening with a glass of wine.” It hasn’t been lonely as she lives with her partner of 18 years “and luckily we get on very well together.” This is the nature of all
